Baby Boy

Officially released in 2020, Baby Boy is a single by Memphis based artist Doter Sweetly. This dream like song is about the familiar existential questions those in their early-mid-late 20s often experience. Sweetly is quoted commenting, "You recognize and realize that even though your life seems to be moving nowhere, your life is simultaneously wonderful and precious. The difficulty of understanding that the life you want to lead is not ahead of you, but is right where you are."

The featured single cover design was a graphic and photographic collaboration with Nia Rincon, who also collaborated in producing the official music video with New Orleans based directors, Peter Phillips & Marcus Chapa Wilson. Baby Boy is available for streaming on Spotify.
